Pathways: A Classroom Guide to Type 1 Diabetes
Logo Design • Packaging Design • Graphic Design • Book Design After a child is diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, one of the hardest things for parents is sending the child back to school to be in someone else’s care. Pathways is an elementary school classroom kit aimed at children ages 8 through 12. Pathways aids in education and communication between parents and teachers, while educating them and the T1 child’s classmates about the disease and the different steps the T1 must take throughout the day. Teachers and caregivers are educated through a book whereby they can then teach the class. Classmates can then follow up their learning with a fun board game to help make the disease less daunting. Included in the kit is a board game (including all components for 4 to 6 players), guide book for teachers, personalized student booklet, daily log notepad and pen.
